The Leeum Museum of Art is hosting “How to become a rock,” a rare solo exhibition of Kim Beom, one of Korea’s leading conceptual artists. The show, which spans Kim’s career from the early 1990s to the mid-2010s, features over 70 works that challenge our stereotypes with absurdist premises and vivid imagery. They include the classroom-like installation, “Objects Being Taught They Are Nothing but Tools” and “Untitled (Intimate Suffering),” where the artist has filled the entire canvas with a dizzying maze.
