Rowoon leaves SF9 for acting

Rowoon, a member of K-pop boy band SF9, has officially announced his departure from the group to focus on advancing his acting career.

FNC Entertainment, the agency representing SF9, confirmed that while the other eight members have renewed their contracts, Rowoon will pursue acting and other personal projects.

“While the remaining eight members of SF9 and Rowoon embark on separate paths, Rowoon will forever hold a special place as the ninth member in our hearts,” the agency said in an official statement. “Both sides are committed to giving their utmost support and delivering the best performances in their pursuits, all while staying dedicated to their fans.”

Rowoon shared his sentiments about leaving the group in a handwritten letter.

“I believe I’ve grown more used to exploring different activities, embracing new challenges and maintaining self-discipline,” he wrote.

“Over the past seven years, I’ve worked with immense gratitude and cherished precious memories. This year, at the age of 27, I’m gearing up for a new endeavor.” He concluded with a note of gratitude, “I’m sincerely thankful to all of you. I kindly request your loving support and attention as I embark on this new journey.”
