Acclaimed British contemporary artist Julian Opie returns to Kukje Gallery’s Busan outpost for his new solo exhibition that features LED installations, VR experiences, paintings, films and live-action performances. In addition to exploring his signature visual vocabulary of “walking people,” his latest pieces depict the dynamic motion of shuffle dance featured primarily on TikTok and YouTube. To achieve this, he collaborated with his daughter — a professional dancer — to translate her dance moves into vibrant animated images.
