‘Hope’ Daehakro Uniplex Until June 11

The original musical “Hope” is inspired by the story of Franz Kafka’s unpublished manuscripts, which the renowned writer asked his friend, Max Brod, to destroy at his deathbed. Brod disregarded the request and published them anyway, eventually bequeathing the remaining originals to his secretary, Esther Hoffe. Years later, a long trial takes place between Hoffe’s daughters and Israel’s National Library over the ownership of the papers. The musical introduces fictional characters Joseph Klein, as a tribute to Kafka, and Eva Hope, as an old woman who still guards Klein’s unpublished manuscripts with all her might.

Tickets cost from 44,000 won to 88,000 won. Call 1577-3363 for more information.
