Netmarble will release three new games in Korea and the global market in July as part of its efforts to make up for its poor performance, having posted operating losses for five straight quarters since the first quarter of 2022, the company CEO said Thursday.

“Through the showcase today, we are introducing our new games. These games are accessible to everyone and feature immersive gameplay. We expect them to perform well in the global market thanks to their low entry barrier, animated artwork and excellent game strategy,” Kwon Young-sig, CEO of Netmarble, said while introducing its new games Tower of God: New World, Grand Cross: Age of Titans and Seven Knights Idle Adventure.

Kwon emphasized that the games are aimed not only at the Korean market but also at users in the global market.

“All three will be released in the global market. Some of the games are very popular in Korea, some are popular genres in Western countries, so we expect them to do well, and some are based on IPs that are very popular in Asia. We hope to do well by creating games that gamers who love each IP and genre can have fun with,” the CEO said.

Tower of God: New World, is based on the popular online comic “Tower of God,” which has registered over 6 billion views. Kwon Min-kwan, CEO of Netmarble N2, an affiliate of Netmarble, introduced the role-playing game and said that it will be released in July and explained, “We have collaborated with the author to create the game that fans of the original comic version can enjoy in a new way.”

Seo Woo-won, CEO of Netmarble F&C, another affiliate of Netmarble, introduced Grand Cross: Age of Titans, which will be played on both PC and mobile from August.

“This game is an original IP developed by Netmarble F&C. This is a strategy game based on anime artwork that tells the story of a number of heroes from different dimensions who come together due to a conflict between dimensions. Based on this IP, we plan to launch online comics, online novels and even dramas,” Seo said.

Kim Jung-min, CEO of Netmarble Nexus, said Seven Knights Idle Adventure is the fifth game utilizing Netmarble’s popular IP “Seven Knights.” The game will be released in the global market in September.

“We wanted to offer a game that is accessible and easy to play for many global users,” Kim said. “Users can easily enjoy it on a vertical screen with one finger and minimal controls. We excluded repetitive elements that can be boring and allowed the game characters to grow even if left unattended.”
